Common questions

Windows says "Windows protected your PC" when I run the installer.

The installer is signed by Hauri Enterprises, LLC, but Windows SmartScreen warns about new apps until they build up a download history. Click More info, check that the publisher is Hauri Enterprises, LLC, then click Run anyway. You only need to do this once.

My recipe didn't import correctly.

Some websites block automated access or use unusual formatting. Try copying the recipe text and using the paste-text import option instead. If the site repeatedly fails, email support@ChefsAIPantry.com.

How do I move my recipes to a new computer?

Your recipes are stored locally on your PC. On the old computer, open Settings → Library and click Back up. Copy the backup file to the new computer, install Chef's Pantry, then open Settings → Library → Restore from backup. To move your license, choose Deactivate on this PC in Settings on the old computer, then enter your key on the new one.

I lost my license key.

Your key is in your purchase receipt email. You can also find it at shop.chefsaipantry.com/billing: enter your purchase email and you'll get a sign-in link. Still stuck? Email support@ChefsAIPantry.com.

Can I use the app on more than one computer?

Yes. Each license is for one person and can be active on up to 3 of your computers at a time. To free one up, open Settings on that computer and choose Deactivate on this PC.

Where is my data stored?

All recipes are stored locally on your PC in the app's data folder. When you use an AI feature, such as importing a recipe or explaining a step, the content for that request is sent for processing; your library itself stays on your PC.
